When you're ready to venture out, there isn't anyplace with more cultural diversity than Mid-Coast Maine. You can visit the Farnsworth Art Museum, take in a play at the Camden Opera House or listen to a Bay Chamber Concert. Take in the breathtaking beauty of the mid-coast area where the "Mountains meet the Sea" of Penobscot Bay. Visit the nearby islands on a ferry trip to Islesboro, Vinalhaven or North Haven Island, or take a sail on a Windjammer. Enjoy a bit of the local cuisine with several outstanding restaurants offering world class dining or you can always sample a bit of the local seafood and indulge in steamed lobster and clams.
